On June 9, 2021, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Albert Karimov, and Tadzio Schilling, AEB CEO, discussed the issues of cooperation between the Association of European Businesses (AEB), ITEMF Expo and the Tatarstan Government in organising congress and exhibition events dedicated to the automotive industry. 

The meeting was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Sector of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Usmanov, CEO of "Kazanskaya Yarmarka" Lev Semenov, General Director of "ITEMF Expo" Anna Manvelova, General Director of "ITEMF Expo" Mikhail Basheleishvili, General Director of "HYVE Expo International" Dmitry Zavgorodny and others.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged their views on the key areas of bilateral cooperation and the prospects for its development. They also discussed the issues of international promotion of the Republic of Tatarstan as the main Russian investment site for the automotive industry. The parties concluded the necessity to consider holding an international automobile and investment forum on a regular basis starting from May 2022.
