This event focused on different aspects of quality in construction and building materials industry. Claude-Alain Tardy, President Gypsum Activity of Saint-Gobain Group, presented the European experience in increase of quality and pace of construction while decreasing of cost. Valentina Epifanova, Director of Legal Affairs at YIT Construction, provided an overview of the system of protection of consumer rights under the Federal law on participation in co-investment agreements. Alexander Shabaldin, Energy Efficiency Manager at Saint-Gobain Construction Products Rus, proved that incorporation of voluntary standards in addition to state regulation in construction as an effective tool to create a better build environment. Alexander Mishin, Product Development Manager at Wienerberger Kirpitch, talked about customer relations principles in a highly competitive market. Finally, Victoria Orlova, Business Development Manager at Astron Buildings, approached the topic of producing EU quality building in Russia. During the discussion session the participants exchanged their views on what implications developer's and construction companies' liability and guarantees, safety, energy efficiency and related issues have for the end user.
