Round Table “Machine Building Market trends in Russia in 2021”

On December 15, 2021, the AEB held its traditional Round Table “Machine Building Market trends in Russia in 2021”, organized by the AEB Machine Building & Engineering Committee.


Philippe Pegorier, Kesarev, Member of the AEB Board, Chairman of the AEB Machine Building & Engineering Committee welcomed the participants and emphasized, that the event continued to be an excellent platform to get an overall picture of the current situation of the machine building industry in Russia and its prospects.

Vladislav Shepetovsky, Director for Russia, VR-Group, moderated the event. 

Tatiana Arabadzhi, Director of the National Industrial Information Agency.
The speaker focused on the leasing in the machine-building industry and presented a detailed analysis of the market situation in 2021 and prospects for the development of «green» transport.

Andrey Shelekhov, Architect of Machine building solutions, Dassault Systemes, dedicated his presentation to key challenges in development of driver assistance systems and creation autonomous vehicles systems. 

Oleg Vasilchenko, Head of Sustainable Development and External Communications, Volvo, highlighted the key factors and challenges that should be considered to ensure the stability of transition to e-mobility at heavy trucks sector.
Denis Koshkaryov, Business Development Manager of Charging Infrastructure, ABB Russia, spoke about the company’s experience and peculiarities in creating infrastructure for charging electric car fleet.
Alexander Gerasimov, Director of Digitalization, J'son & Partners Consulting spoke on economic perspectives in of digitalization and IoT implementation in Russian machine-building industry.
Alexey Borovkov, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU), Head of SPbPU World-class Scientific Center "Advanced Digital Technologies", SPbPU NTI Competence Center "New Manufacturing Technologies" and SPbPU Engineering Center (CompMechLab®), made an informative report on Digital Twins in the machine building, in which he presented a unique development of the SPbPU NTI Center, digital twin platform the CML-Bench™. He concluded that Digital Twin technology has been becoming a driver of sustainable economic development of companies.
