Within the framework of the long-term program "Time of New Strategies", a round table "Problems and prospects of expanding trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the Krasnodar Territory" was held on January 19, 2023. 

The organizers of the Round Table were the Krasnodar’s Regional Public Chamber, the AEB Southern Regional Committee, the Association "Agency for Investment and International Cooperation", the weekly "YugTimes". The strategic partner of the program is Center-Invest Bank.

The Round Table was attended by representatives of regional executive authorities, the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory, the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Krasnodar, the General Consulate of the Republic of Turkey in Novorossiysk, business circles of Turkey and Krasnodar Territory, member companies of the AEB Southern Regional Committee.

Opening the event, its moderator Oleg Zharko, Chairman of the Southern Regional Committee of the Association of European Businesses, and the editorial Board of the weekly "YugTimes", stressed the importance of bilateral contacts between business representatives of both countries and the effective constructive dialogue.

The round table was attended by Anastasia Shishmareva, First Deputy Head of the Department of Investment and Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of the Krasnodar Territory, Igor Bragarnik, Secretary of the Committee on Fiscal, Tax, Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Financial Markets of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory, Firat Bayar, General Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Novorossiysk, Aydanur AVCI TNIŞ, Trade Attaché of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Novorossiysk, Olga Silnitskaya, Deputy CEO and GR-Director of the Association of European Businesses, Lubov Popova, Chairman of the Krasnodar’s Regional Public Chamber and the Supervisory Board of AIMS, Diana Lipinskaya, Director of the Krasnodar branch of the bank "Center-invest", Alexander Belimov, Third Secretary of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Krasnodar.

During the further active discussion, business representatives of the Republic of Turkey and the Krasnodar Territory shared their business experience related to trade, exhibition activities, logistics, construction, and banking, and exchanged contacts for further cooperation and constructive dialogue.

All participants of the Round Table noted the importance of holding such events and expressed hope for continued cooperation and readiness for effective dialogue.
