On October 8, 2024, the roundtable discussion “Carbon Management: Deep Dive” took place at SIBUR office.

The event was organized by the AEB Green Initiative, AEB Energy Committee and AEB Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) Committee in collaboration with SIBUR, Green Building Club and RANEPA ESG Business Club.

The sessions were moderated by Roman Ishmukhametov, Chair of the AEB Green Initiative, and Armen Tadevosyan, a member of the AEB Energy Committee and AEB Green Initiative.

The speakers shared the views on the key aspects of carbon management such as climate law regulation, the present and the future of transactions with carbon credits in Russia, EAEU and globally, as well as the prospects of carbon pricing in Russia.

At the second part of the event, the sustainable solutions in real estate & construction were presented by the leading experts from Dom.RF, Sibur, the Green Building Club (GBCG), Veriko. In particular, the speakers highlighted the aspects of low-carbon, energy efficient and recycled resources in construction.

At the end of the conference, guests had an opportunity to participate in a virtually-guided tour at SIBUR office. Ekaterina Kuznetsova, Head of the Green Building Club (GBCG) provided the detailed overview on the office which awarded “Gold” status in the Russian EGBS green sustainable building rating system.
