On March 13, 2024 with the support of the North-West Regional Committee of the Association of European Businesses, the annual strategic session of the National Council on Corporate Volunteering in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region was held.
Representatives of the Council member companies, partners from business associations and the non-profit sector took part in the meeting.
Elena Kiyanova, Chairperson of the North-West Regional Committee, Chair of the National Council on Corporate Volunteering in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, emphasized that the National Council on Corporate Volunteering will turn 10 years old in 2024 and this year will be held under the motto “10 years of NCCV: changing ourselves, we change the world.”
“Today the Council has already become an important part of the volunteering infrastructure both in the country in general and in the region in particular. Corporate volunteering makes a significant contribution to achieving the national development goals of the Russian Federation by involving the most active part of the population in socially useful activities - competent and caring employees of various companies,” noted Elena Kiyanova.
An important topic of the session was summing up the activities of the Council, as well as discussing further plans for its work and development in the region.
The number of Council members is constantly growing. In 2019, the Council’s representative office in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region consisted of only 4 companies, but today the Council already includes 20 companies and organizations in the region, and every year more and more socially responsible businesses want to join these activities.
