On June 17, 2025, a joint meeting of the AEB Sustainable Development Committee and the AEB Insurance and Pensions Committee was held at the AEB conference centre in Moscow. 

The event was dedicated to the role of the insurance market in adapting to global challenges and business opportunities related to sustainable development.

Business activities in response to global challenges in the field of sustainable development, especially climate risks, find a response in the insurance market, creating additional value for companies in various industries. Participants discussed how ESG components are integrated into insurance products, helping businesses to minimize risks and help implement initiatives in terms of doing business.

Special attention was paid to the insurance of directors and officers' liability against the consequences of their incorrect actions (or inaction), including in the field of sustainable development. The participants of the meeting agreed that sustainable development is not only a challenge, but also a driver for innovation in the insurance market.
