On July 18, 2024, AEB Director of External Relations, Svetlana Lomidze was decorated with the award “For cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”. The award which is given by decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in recognition of significant contributions to the development of bilateral cooperation, was handed over by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexander Grushko.

“Exactly 20 years ago, Svetlana organized the first meeting of AEB with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov. These meetings have since become a tradition that has allowed our members to address key issues even in the most difficult moments in the history of European business in Russia”, said Deputy Chairman of the AEB Board, Philippe Pegorier.

Svetlana noted that for her "this award is not only as a sign of high appreciation and successful cooperation of our Association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, but also evidence that everything to which I have dedicated my life and work has not gone unnoticed.”
