On November 16, 2020, the AEB CEO Tadzio Schilling and the Director of External Affairs Svetlana Lomidze met with the President of the RF CCI Sergey Katyrin.

On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry the meeting was also attended by Vice-President Vladimir Padalko and Director of the Department for External Affairs Alexander Kopkov.

During the meeting the participants discussed the issues of information interaction, joint lawmaking and extention of the AEB contacts in the Russian regions with the support of the territorial Chambers of Commerce and Industry. 

The sides also touched upon the cooperation between the AEB and the CCI on migration issues in order to carry out a qualitative assessment of the draft legal acts in the field of migration. At present, the RF CCI and the AEB are actively working to prepare a unified position of the business community on customs regulation issues. 

Representatives of the RF CCI stressed that they support the initiative of the AEB and a number of national business associations to liberalize the current rules of entry for foreign highly qualified specialists (HQS), whose presence is necessary for business activities and development.

Tadzio Schilling and Sergey Katyrin noted the high productivity of the meeting and expressed their intention to hold such meetings on a regular basis.
