On October 14, 2021, Tadzio Schilling moderated the panel session "International Energy Organization Dialogue: Predicting the Development of Energy and Global Markets" at REW 2021.


During the session, experts from key international analytical organizations discussed the future of global energy: what the global energy balance will be like in 2050, when the energy transition will reach all countries in the world, and how to overcome the major challenges on its way.

One of the key speakers of the session was H.E. Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo — Secretary General, Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). He said that OPEC predicts that traditional energy sources will continue to be in demand in the medium term, but that renewable energy sources will also develop significantly.

Among other speakers were: Karen Kostanian — Head of Russian Equity Research Department, Merrill Lynch Securities, Alexey Kulapin — General Director, Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Yury Plakitkin — Head of Center for Analysis and Innovation in Energy, Energy Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, H.E. Yury Sentyurin — Secretary General, Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and Deb Ryan — Head Low Carbon Market Analytics, S&P Global Platts.
