On June 17, 2013 AEB held a Seminar “Investing in Russia: Opportunities in a Challenging Environment”. The seminar was organized on the occasion of the Mission for Growth led by EU Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani to Russia on 17-19 of June 2013. The event was moderated by Frank Schauff, AEB CEO. Reiner Hartmann, Chairman of the AEB Board, spoke on the modernisation of the Russian Economy and the Role of European Companies in this Process; Stuart Lawson, Executive Director, Senior Advisor, Ernst & Young made an overlook of the Russian Economic Trends; Orlin Efremov, Chairman of the AEB Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Committee spoke on Russian market attraction and challenges for the European SMEs. The case studies by Philippe Pegorier, President of Alstom Russia and Antonio Linares, General Director Roca Group aroused great interest among the participants. The seminar was followed by a reception.
