On November 20, 2024, the AEB Product Conformity Assessment Committee held its regular annual conference on “Technical Regulation and Conformity Assessment in the Eurasian Economic Union”, the agenda of which hasn’t lost its relevance for almost 10 years, as many companies continue to face various difficulties in assessing the conformity of their products.

Tadzio Schilling, AEB Director General, and Alexey Soldatov, Chairman of the AEB Product Conformity Assessment Committee, opened the event and spoke about the Committee's activities during 2024.

The discussion was moderated by Dmitry Miklin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Ph.D., Director of Government Relations, Herbalife.

This time the Committee's experts: Evgenia Ivlieva, Ph, Manager for Sustainable Development, Cementum Testing Center, Irina Kartashova, Director for Technical Regulation and External Relations, Procter & Gamble Distribution Company, Anna Chugunova, Manager for Scientific and Technical Regulation, Mon ‘delis Rus, Elena Stepanova, expert on conformity assessment of products in the food industry, shared their reports and discussed the sphere of technical regulation of the climate agenda and closed cycle economy in the Russian Federation and the EAEU and in such industries as food and chemicals. 

Besides these, Pavel Rudyakov, Chairman of the AEB Household Appliance Manufacturers Committee, spoke about the prospect of replacing paper user manuals with digital ones.

The Association of European Home Appliance Manufacturers, APPLiA, represented by its head Paolo Falcioni, shared with the participants of the event the European experience of regulation in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
