Technical regulation and conformity assessment in the Eurasian Economic Union

On December 4, 2025, the AEB Committee of Product Conformity and Assessment held its annual conference on 'Technical Regulation and Compliance Assessment in the Eurasian Economic Union.' This topic has remained relevant for over 10 years, as many companies continue to face various challenges in assessing the compliance of their products.


Tadzio Schilling, AEB CEO, and Alexey Soldatov, Chair of the AEB Committee for Product Conformity and Assessment, opened the event and shared information about the committee's activities. The discussion was moderated by Dmitry Miklin, Deputy Chair of the Committee, Ph.D. in Chemistry, and Director of Government Relations at Herbalife.

This time, representatives from the governmental authorities of Russia and the Eurasian Economic Commission shared the latest news in legislation. Dmitry Volvach, Head of the Federal Accreditation Service, delivered a report on the current tasks facing Rosakkreditatsiya to build an effective compliance assessment system in Russia. Evgeny Berezhnykh, Deputy Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of EEC, provided an overview of the strategic tasks of the EAEU in the field of technical regulation. Anastasia Pashkova, Head of the 'Information and Analytical Activities' department of CIS Center, informed colleagues about the implementation of software for forming Safety Passports for chemical products. Alexey Vladimirovich Ivanov, Deputy General Director of the Russian Institute for Standardization, presented the National Standardization Plan and discussed upcoming changes to Federal Law 162-FZ 'On Standardization.'

Permanent experts of the Committee — Dmitry Miklin from Herbalife, Irina Kartashova from Procter & Gamble, Elena Stepanova, an expert on food product compliance assessment, and Vitaly Akimochkin — shared their reports and discussed issues of compliance assessment and technical regulation in industries such as chemicals, food, and machine engineering.
