On 25 June, 2019 the AEB open event ”The role and responsibility of businesses, NGOs and media in promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals and shaping a CSR culture in society” was held.
The event was jointly organized by the AEB PR & Communications Committee and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
The Sustainable Development concept is nowadays forming a new paradigm for businesses. The key business approaches applied by leading European companies are being transformed towards operating business responsibly, including through focusing on reducing the environmental impact, using renewable resources, increasing production efficiency, etc. The advanced Russian businesses also consider the global sustainable development goals and CSR as an important part of their agenda.
The meeting was focused on the values of responsible business practices and new approaches to the management of resources, risks and impact on economic processes, society and the environment. It provided a platform for discussions and exchange of expert opinions.
