The speakers of the event were Bruno Balvanera, Managing Director of Central Asia at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Alkis Drakinos, Head of EBRD Office in Uzbekistan.

The briefing became a logical continuation of AEB business mission to Uzbekistan in 2019.

Mr. Balvanera informed the participants of the meeting about current activities of EBRD in the region, about the latest changes in the Uzbek legislation and stressed the major challenges the businesses could face in Uzbekistan.

Among the EBRD’s  strategic priorities for 2018-2023 Bruno Balvanera highlighted the following:
