On June 30, 2022, AEB Real Estate Committee held a webinar “Key legal initiatives in real estate”. The experts of the AEB Real Estate Committee shared their thoughts on the significant legislative initiatives of the industry.

Anton Alekseev, Counsel, Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners (EPAM), talked about the essence and possible consequences of such legislative initiatives as the draft law of the Federal Service for State Registration on changing the concept of real estate, the draft law of the Russian Ministry of Construction on cottage settlements, and the status and prospects of the bill on apartments. 

Lawyers from "DRT Consulting" Konstantin Fisunov and Karina Kuzmina reviewed the current court practice in the real estate and construction, including issues on the amount of penalties, warranty periods under subcontracts, as well as considered the results of disputes on land lease contracts relating to the use of land not for its intended purpose, changing the permitted use and the calculation of rents.
