On April 15, 2022 AEB held its traditional Friday webinar, dedicated to the latest sanctions and countermeasures updates.

Tadzio Schilling, AEB CEO, gave an overview of the 5th package of EU sanctions, such as coal ban, financial measures, ban to transport operations, further export and import bans. He also talked about the last US sanctions – suspending energy import and suspending normal trade relations, and recent Russian legislation initiatives – draft laws on external administration and criminal liability for compliance with the sanctions, federal law on parallel imports. 

Yulia Litovtseva, Partner, Head of Bankruptcy and Anti-Сrisis Protection of Business Practice, Pepeliaev Group presented aspects of bankruptcy in the conditions of sanctions and countermeasures, new factors of bankruptcy risks for foreign companies. 

Ekaterina Kalinina, Head of Real-Estate & Regulatory Practice, SCHNEIDER GROUP told about prerequisites for personal liability of controlling persons. 

Artashes Oganov, Partner, Head of Real Estate and Construction, CMS International B.V. in his presentation explained how the current situation affects the real estate and construction market. And Dmitry Bogdanov, Senior Associate, Real Estate and Construction, CMS International B.V. gave an overview of the countermeasures and support measures for the real estate and construction sector.
