PRESS-CONFERENCE on PARALLEL IMPORT, March 24  
The issue of so called ‘parallel import’ (grey import) – the import of goods expressing the result of intellectual activities or the means of individualization without consent of the relevant right holder, has been increasingly discussed in the Russian Federation recently. That’s why the Association of European Businesses, uniting hundreds of European industrial companies, deems it necessary to express its position on this issue on behalf of its numerous members.
 
The AEB’s strong belief is that a parallel (grey) import conflicts with the long-term interest of Russia, neither promotes the further development of the Russian industry, nor meets the interests of Russian consumers.
