On the 7th of June 2011 the Association of European Businesses, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development, Industry and Trade of the Chuvash Republic, organized a business mission to Cheboksary.
The main goals of the mission were to acquaint participants with the economic and investment potential of the region, to meet with top government representatives, and to participate in the opening of the ROCA plant.
The mission was attended by representatives of the following AEB member companies: Gasunie, Montrack Vostok (Caterpillar), VSK and ROCA Group.
During the trip, the AEB mission participants were also accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The program began with the official opening of the ROCA plant in Novocheboksarsk and with the welcome speeches of the ROCA Managing Director, the Ambassador of Spain to Russia and the President of the Chuvash Republic.
Later, the AEB mission participants took part in a round table discussion with the regional authorities and executives of regional enterprises (such as ROCA Group) on the investment potential in the region and infrastructure development in the Chuvash Republic, which was moderated by Igor Kustarin, the President of the Chamber of Industry and Trade in the Republic. The delegation listened to a presentation on the most important directions in which the economic and industry sectors are developing by Oleg Makarov, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Minister of Economic Development, Industry and Trade of the Chuvash Republic.
As well as this, the delegation had a chance to visit LLC HEVEL, CJSC Svarka and ROCA plant sites.
