The AEB was delighted to hold a briefing by Mikhail Zadornov, President-Board Chairman of VTB24 on June 13, from 11:00–12:30 at the Marriott Grand Hotel.

Mr. Zadornov, who has served in his present position since 2005, is former Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation (1997-1999), and has over 17 years of experience in the financial sector as an economist, politician, and reformer. He was Chairman of the State Duma budget committee (1994 -1997). VTB24 is the retail banking arm of VTB (formerly Vneshtorbank) which launched a successful re-branding in 2006 and IPO in spring 2007. The VTB24 development strategy is based on consumer lending, mortgages and loans to small- and mid-sized businesses.
