The AEB is enlarging its field of briefings and open events to engage members in discussion about the hottest topics and challenges of the XXI century. Konstantin Georguievich Skryabin is among these experts who will speak on National Priorities of New Technologies: Science and Technology Transfer.
The briefing took place on April 4, 2007 from 10:00 till 11:30 at the Delegation of European Commission to Russia.
Konstantin Skryabin is world known in the field of molecular biology, genetics and bioengineering. He is academician and Director of the Bioengineering Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), which was created in May 1991. The Centre is now one of the key organisations operating in Russia in the field of genetic engineering of plants, molecular microbiology, bio-informatics, and bio-safety. Mr. Skryabin is Deputy Director of the famous Russian Scientific Centre “Kurchatov Institute”, which remains the “nursery of genius” of Russian science. He is the member of the Presidential Council for Science, Technologies and Education.
