Common Economic Space: Road Map to Rapprochment. AEB Conference

The AEB was pleased to hold a conference entitled “Common Economic Space: Roadmap to Rapprochement” on November 16, 2006, at the Baltschug Kempinski Hotel.

The conference was organised in cooperation with RSPP (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) and with the support of the Delegation of the European Commission and the Administration of the President of RF.

The conference aimed to elaborate on the "road maps" of collaboration between the EU and Russia and to engage in a joint search for concrete ways to create an open and integrated market in the areas of energy, banking, telecommunications, the auto industry, and transport and customs issues. Speakers included representatives of high ranking European and Russian business entities, the European Commission, RF government representatives, and corresponding ministries and departments:

Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman, Committee for International Affairs, RF State Duma

Key note speaker at lunch was Sergei Yastrzhembsky of the Presidential Administration.
