The AEB IT-Telecom Committee held a Working Breakfast on "IT for CEOs: Best Practice Update" at the Marriott Grand Hotel from 9:00-11:00 am.
The positive response to previous year’s event has encouraged us to organise an update, inviting back two speakers and adding two more.
Information systems and technology services have long become standard cost centers for most, if not all organisations. Business leaders however are unsure as to whether they are getting the most out of their investments. This briefing identified some of the new opportunities and threats coming out of this area, to give executives insight into what is worth examining closely.
Topics at this briefing included:
- information as a competitive advantage,
- offshore and nearshore resourcing,
- information security and
- data privacy regulations.
Our speakers provided guidance as to what's new and interesting, along with the key concepts it pays not to forget.
