It is our pleasure to invite you to a Briefing by Erik Berglof, Chief Economist of the EBRD, “Presentation of the EBRD Transition Report”.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 27^th, 2008, from 8:30 am – 9:30 am (registration at 8:00 am), at the Residence of the EU Ambassador, Ul. Bolshaya Polianka, 11/14

The EBRD will this month publish its annual assessment of the economies of the 29 countries in which it operates in the former Soviet bloc. The EBRD's so-called “Transition Report” will be launched in London on November 25. The next day, the Bank's Chief Economist, Erik Berglof, will arrive in Moscow. He will explain how the EBRD sees the economic situation developing under various scenarios in Russia and the region. The Transition Report, the EBRD's main annual contribution to the international economic debate, gives detailed forecasts for each of the 29 countries of operation and will also include several chapters focusing on more specific issues.
