AEB meeting: Discussion of the TR EAEU 041/2017 “On the safety of chemical products” with the industrial companies, whose business is directly affected by the given regulation

As you may know, technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union “On the safety of chemical products” (TR EAEU 041/2017) has been adopted by a Decision № 19 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission as of March 3, 2017.

The given technical regulation touches almost every industry, as the object of regulation is chemical products, substances and mixtures. The TR establishes the unified requirements to chemical products that are mandatory for application and implementation on the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as rules and forms of assessing its compliance, identification rules, and requirements for terminology, labeling and rules for its application.

The AEB is concerned about regulation of the chemical products in the EAEU. On March 10, 2017 the AEB sent its position in relation to the state regulation of the safety of chemical products to RF Ministry of Industry and Trade, Eurasian Economic Commission and Rosstandart.

The Eurasian Economic Commission together with the Governments of member states of the EAEU is currently developing the procedure for the formation and maintenance of the register of chemicals and mixtures of the EAEU and a procedure for the notification of new chemicals that should enter into force before December 1, 2018.

We would like to discuss your views on the procedures and chemical regulation in the EAEU as a whole, and therefore invite you to attend a meeting that will be held on July 20^th, 2017 at 15:00 at the AEB office (Krasnoproletarskaya ul. 16, bld. 3, entrance 8, 4^th floor).

The working language of the meeting is English; Interpretation into Russian will be provided upon request.
