Continuing our longstanding tradition of close cooperation and interaction with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), we are pleased to invite you to a Briefing by Arman Shakkaliev, EEC Minister in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation.
The event will take place online on 26 November 2021 at 10:30, via Zoom.
This briefing is the second one in a series of meetings with Eurasian Economic Commission. The first one which was extremely useful and lasted almost three hours, took place in October when the AEB members met with Timur Nurashev, Head of the Department for Technical Regulation & Accreditation of the EEC. The third one, with Andrey Slepnev, EEC Trade Minister, is planned for December of this year.
As Minister Shakkaliev noted in one of his speeches, the proactive antitrust regulation applied by the Commission, including "soft law" tools – warnings and cautions and the antitrust compliance system, is designed to shape relevant mentality among business representatives. A high level of trust, understanding and interaction is the key to creating a legally predictable space.
The Association of European Businesses highly appreciates the fact that Minister Shakkaliev found time in his busy schedule to meet with representatives of European companies in Russia.
