Open event organised by the AEB Safety, Health, Environment and Security Committee, titled - Corporate investigations: how to avoid mistakes

The AEB is pleased to invite you to participate in the open event organised by the AEB Safety, Health, Environment and Security Committee, titled “Corporate investigations: how to avoid mistakes”.

The event will be held on May 18^th, 2016, from 09:30 am to 12:00 am (registration starts at 9:00), at AEB Conference Centre (Krasnoproletarskaya str., 16, bld. 3, ent. 8, fl. 4, office 8).

Corporate Fraud has always and will always be an issue for companies regardless of their size, activity, history, corporate culture, internal controls or location. During recessions this fraud often evolves faster than companies can adapt to new business conditions. At this stage, fraud often becomes obvious, and management asks itself – what to do next? Unfortunately, decisions are often made on an uninformed or emotional basis, which does not solve the problem, but rather, makes it worse for the business.

At this event, anti-fraud specialists will explain in practical terms what to do in the early stages of a fraud, which mistakes you should avoid, how to correctly organise an internal investigation, how to collect and store evidence materials, how to evaluate legal outcomes and cases, how to interview staff involved in an instance of fraud and what instruments are available during investigations and finally how to prioritise ongoing tasks and business continuity during an investigation.

This anti-fraud and internal investigations event will primarily be of use to staff from HR, Legal, general management, security, IT, audit, internal controls and compliance departments.

The working language of the event is English and Russian. Interpretation will not be provided.

Attendance fees:

AEB assigned members’ participation is free of charge;

Fee for AEB additional members is 3,850 RUB (+18% VAT);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies is 7,700 RUB (+18% VAT).
