On 25 January, 2018, the Association of European Businesses held its Strategy Meeting 2018, where Board members, CNR representatives, the Committee Chairmen, guests of honour, the AEB CEO and the staff met at the Hotel Intercontinental Moscow Tverskaya to discuss the results of 2017 and define the committees’ main targets and initiatives for 2018.
Chairman of AEB Board Thomas Staertzel made a review of the AEB strategic development and perspectives for the future.
H.E. Sylvie Bermann, French Ambassador to the Russian Federation, spoke about the current EU-Russia relations.
AEB CEO Frank Schauff made the AEB operational report and a short introduction into the Strategy Discussion 2018.
The participants of the meeting took part in the parallel sessions on five strategic topics:
1.Localization and Instruments for its support (SPIC etc.), moderated by Filippo Baldisserotto, Board
2.Membership and services: how to further improve?, moderated by Gerald Sakuler and Cesare Biggiogera, Board
3.Events at the federal and the regional levels, moderated by Olga Bantsekina, Deputy chair, Board
4.Trade barriers and other regulatory measures (burden for business), moderated by Alexander Liberov, First Deputy chair and Paul Bruck, Board
5.Digitalization and its consequences for the businesses, moderated by Frank Schauff, CEO
The moderators summarized the results of the discussions and Teemu Helppolainen, Deputy chair of the Board, moderated the general discussion on the strategic development.
