On April 29, the AEB Real Estate Committee held a webinar titled “COVID-19: KEY LEGAL AND TAX ISSUES IN REAL ESTATE”. The webinar was moderated by Tatiana Kovalenko (on the top photo), AEB Real Estate Committee Chair, Deputy Managing Director, OOO SENDLER & COMPANY. 

Kira Bryanskaya (photo 1 below), Of Counsel, Pavia e Ansaldo told about the issues of deferring rental payments by companies operating in the most affected sectors of the economy, as well as ways of legal protection of the interests of the parties in connection with the impossibility of fulfilling contractual obligations that arose in connection with the application of measures to combat COVID-19 in the light of recent changes in legislation and trends in judicial practice. K. Bryanskaya also mentioned about the new instrument of state support for capital investments, the Agreement on the Protection and Promotion of Capital Investments and its key features. Sergey Likhachev (photo 2 below), Associate Director, Tax Practice, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (Russia LLP) gave an overview of the changes in tax regulations in connection with the pandemic and their impact on real estate and construction sector and also shared an update on federal and regional support measures.
