The AEB is pleased to invite you to a briefing by Odd Per Brekk, Senior Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund in the Russian Federation, “Russia – the Way out of the Economic Downturn”. The event will be held on September 22, 2009, at the Novotel Moscow Centre, Novoslobodskaya ul.. 23, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am (registration starts from 9:00 am).

Also, we are most glad to use this opportunity to introduce the newly appointed representative of the International Monetary Find in Russia - Odd Per Brekk. Meetings with high ranking experts from international financial organizations are a long and well established tradition in our Association. This time we have decided to change the format and transform the briefing into a forum, which will involve the audience’s active participation in the form of contribution to the discussion and exchange of points of view. It is for this reason that we have invited two brilliant co-moderators – Joerg Bongartz from Deutsche Bank and Stuart Lawson from HSBC. This is an intellectually rich and stimulating event that we hope will leave everyone reflecting on the knowledge acquired..

Odd Per Brekk is Norwegian. He is graduated in economics of the University of Oslo. Prior to pursuing a career at the IMF, he worked with the Bank of Norway. Before coming in Russia, he was the IMF Managing Director, a high ranking position and successively headed the missions in Lithuania, Turkey and Indonesia.

Attendance Fees

AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;

Fee for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (VAT not applicable);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (VAT not applicable);

All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed the fee is non-refundable.
