The AEB is pleased to invite you to a Round Table - “Machine Building Market trends in Russia (first half of 2009)”, organized by the AEB Machine Building & Engineering Committee. The event will take place on September 15, 2009 at the AEB Conference room, Krasnoproletarskaya Ul. 16, bld.3, entrance 8, 4^th floor, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am (registration starts from 9:00 am).

The global economic crisis struck a majority of industries and significantly reduced population purchasing power.

This means that both branches of machine building – production of means of production, as well as of consumer products – are facing a serious reduction in demand.

With what dangers does such a situation threaten the global machine building companies that rushed to a previously booming Russian market?

Are there some “quiet harbors”, not touched by the crisis, among the machine building industries?

Does the State’s support help to maintain the market or is it just protectionism versus the traditional home producers?

Speakers at the conference will include representatives companies such as EMAlliance, JCB Russia, John Deere, Magna Steyr, Volkswagen and Volvo. A general overview will be given by Simon-Kucher & Partners.

Attendance Fees

AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;

Price for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (VAT not applicable);

Price for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (VAT not applicable);

All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed the fee is non-refundable.
