The AEB is pleased to announce a presentation by the European Commission on, “The Impact of the Global Crisis on the Neighbouring Countries of the EU”, based on the European Commission’s publication, “The Economic Review of European Neighbourhood Policy Countries”.
The thematic paper of this publication looks at the effects of the global crisis in the EU neighbouring countries. This is followed by two chapters with regional economic reviews (one for the Mediterranean countries, covered by the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), the other, for the former Soviet Union countries plus Russia, covered by the ENP as well and comprising of depth country-specific chapters for all individual ENP countries and for Russia. The presentation itself will concentrate on Russia and the Western CIS.
Based on this report, you will have the privilege of hearing the comments , from Dr. Loukas Stemitsiotis and Dr. Lъcio Vinhas de Souza, from the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, European Commission.
The briefing will take place at the conference hall of the EC Delegation, Kadashevskaya Nab. 14/1, on Monday, September 14th, 2009 from 11:00 to 12:30 (registration takes place from 10:30).
AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;
Fee for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (VAT not applicable);
Fee for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (VAT not applicable);
All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed the fee is non-refundable.
N.B For security reasons, we kindly ask that check-in be done from 10:30 to 11:00. Please note that the time required for admittance into the Delegation could be longer than usual. Please bring your passport with you. Thank you for your understanding.
