Yazev briefing 2011

The AEB Energy Committee is pleased to invite you to a Briefing by Valery Yazev, Vice-Chairman, RF State Duma, “Legal Problems of the EU-Russia Cooperation in Gas Sphere”.

The event will take place on March 14th, 2011 at the Grand Marriott Hotel, hall Kuskovsky, Tverskaya ul., 26, from 9:30 am to 11:00 pm (registration starts from 9:00 am).

Valery Yazev, one of the key figures in Russian TEK (Fuel-Energy Complex), was born in 1949, Perm region, Russian Federation.

In 1974 he graduated from Ural Polytechnic Institute (Ekaterinburg) with degree in technical physics and for ten years he worked as an engineer at the Ural electrochemical plant. From 1983 to 1991 he held executive positions at various enterprises under the Ministry of Gas Industry of the USSR. Till 1996 he was a Director of multi-sector holding “YAVA Corporation”.

He is member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation where he was a Chairman of the Committee for Energy, Transport and Communications – in this capacity he addressed in the past the AEB members on the most hot topics of the Energy agenda. From 2007 till now Valery Yazev is a Vice-Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. He is professor and holds PhD in Economics.

The working language of the meeting is Russian. English translation will be provided.

Attendance Fees

AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;

Fee for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (+18% VAT);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (+18% VAT);

All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed, the fee is non-refundable.
