The AEB is pleased to invite you to a briefing by Michel Barnier, European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services, “Banking Union, economic and budgetary integration: A stronger Europe for a solid strategic partnership with Russia”. The event will be held on November 15th, 2012 from 14:00 to 15:30 (registration from 13:15) at Hotel Marriott Royal Aurora, Hall “Petrovsky II” (Petrovka str. 11/20, Moscow).

Born on 9 January 1951, from 1999 to 2004 Michel Barnier was European Commissioner in charge of Regional Policy and the Reform of European Institutions.In April 2004 he was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of France and from June 2007 to June 2009 served as Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of France. From June 2009 to February 2010 he was Member of the European Parliament, President of the French delegation of the EPP, and in February 2010 he became European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services. Since March 2006 Michel Barnier is also Vice President of the European People's Party and since 2006 - Political Advisor of the UMP (Union pour un Mouvement Populaire).

The working languages of the briefing are French and English (simultaneous interpretation into Russian will be provided).

Attendance Fees

AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;

Price for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (VAT not applicable);

Price for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (VAT not applicable);
