Objectives

The AEB Health and Pharmaceuticals Committee represents the interests of European pharmaceutical manufacturers, many of which have already transferred modern technologies, localized production in Russia, and produce a wide range of modern medicines that are in high demand by the national healthcare system. The AEB Committee includes a Working group of manufacturers of medical devices, represented by leading international companies. The Chairman of the AEB Committee, Kotukhova Yana, is a member of the relevant committees and working groups of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation, RSPP. The Committee interacts with the Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the EEC, the Russian Association of Pharmacy Chains (RAAS), the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM), and other specialized associations.

Action Plan

The activities of the AEB Health and Pharmaceuticals Committee are focused on promoting the AEB Committee members’ interests through building and strengthening a sustainable dialogue with state authorities - the Government of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Roszdravnadzor, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, the EEC and others in the following areas:
- import substitution, localization of the production of medicines and medical devices
- export development
- availability of medicines
- support for innovation
- digitalization of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare
- improvement of public procurement and pricing mechanisms
- licensing and GMP certification
- issues of protection of intellectual property rights, the fight against counterfeiting
- harmonization of drug circulation issues within the EAEU
- providing expertise and promoting the harmonization and unification of requirements on the quality, efficacy, and safety of medicines
- promoting the development of fair competition
- public procurement of medicines and medical equipment
