The AEB is pleased to invite you to its fifth annual conference. This year the conference will be in form of an Anti-Crisis Forum, where we shall analyze not only the cause of the crisis, but plausible solutions based on a realistic and not Manichean approach. The invited speakers will include not only a cross section of the most brilliant minds – analysts and researchers with government and business backgrounds, but those who are working or have worked in official bodies responsible for the directions taken on by the Russian economy and can provide us with an actual and comprehensive picture of what is happening in the Russian economy and the world economy as a whole.

Also, we shall once again hold a session, which was a great success at our last Conference (held in November 2008); one where representatives of European businesses are given an opportunity to express their points of view on the current situation and to mark the plausible vectors of coming out of the tunnel.

The results of two surveys will be also presented to the representatives of AEB companies: an international survey, by BPI-BVA, carried out amongst 8,000 managers in 14 countries, including 1,000 managers in Russia - How do Russian managers perceive the current crisis? What effect has this crisis had on their companies, businesses, and them as individuals? What changes do they anticipate in the economy, social environment, management practices, and the corporate governance? The second survey, realized by Droege & Comp. - on strategies and prospective of European companies in Russia.

The conference will take place on the 27^th of May, 2009, in Moscow, at Marriott Royal Aurora, from 9:00 to 13:00 (registration will start from 08:15). This will be followed by a cocktail reception.

The Conference’s participants will include representatives from major European and Russian companies, as well as representatives of the RF Government, its ministries, and European embassies.

The working languages of the conference are English and Russian. Simultaneous translation will be provided. For details, please see the attached program. Please note that the program is liable to change upon receipt of final speaker and topic confirmation.

Attendance fees

AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;

Fee for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (VAT not applicable);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (VAT not applicable);

All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed, the fee is non-refundable.
