Number Portability in Russia: to Be or Not to Be

The AEB is pleased to invite you to a Round Table “Number portability in Russia: to Be or not to Be?», organized by the AEB IT-Telecom Committee. The event will take place on May 20^th, 2010 at the AEB premises, Krasnoproletarskaya, 16, bld.3, entrance 8, floor 4, office 7, Conference Room, from 9:30 am to 11:30 pm (registration starts from 9:00 am).

Life time commitments and loyalty to a single mobile service provider are getting rarer. Usage profiles change with every new technology introduced, and rapid switches between providers for the best deal have become standard in Western Europe.

Mobile number portability is one of the enablers and a key convenience factor for customers in their quest for the best deal - but it's not without problems and pitfalls. Would number portability be implemented in Russia? Minkomsvyaz has created a working group consisting of representatives of major operators on the Russian market. The working group plans to study technical and technological aspects of this service, which is new for Russia. We hope that the IT-Telecom Committee Round table will provide you with satisfactory answers to some of today’s burning questions with regard to this topic.

Attendance Fees

AEB members’ participation for assigned representatives is free of charge;

Fee for additional representatives of AEB members is 3,000 RUR (VAT not applicable);

Fee for representatives of non-member companies: 6,500 RUR (VAT not applicable);

All payments are to be made by bank transfer. Once registration is closed, the fee is non-refundable.
