On October 12, 2022, the AIDA Insurance Legislation Working Group (AIDA Russian Chapter) within the AEB Insurance and Pensions Committee held an open event titled "Practical solutions in ESG corporate strategies".

The event was opened by Olga Silnitskaya, AEB Deputy CEO & GR Director, and moderated by Alexander Lorenz, AEB Insurance and Pensions Committee Chair / Advisor to CEO, NPF "Deserving FUTURE", JSC, and Capitolina Tourbina, AIDA Insurance Legislation Working Group (AIDA Russian Chapter) / Professor in Department of Risk Management and Insurance, MGIMO MFA of Russia.

The event gave an update and open discussion with regard to practical solutions in ESG corporate strategies in Russia. The event focused on non-financial reporting – progress metrics (Global Compact, regulatory drivers, etc.), corporate governance and the green office concept, as well as social aspects. The participants discussed practical experiences within companies, AEB Green Office&Team project was presented.

Among the speakers were: Roman Ishmukhametov, Carbon Management Workstream Chair, AEB Green Initiative / Senior Associate, Baker McKenzie; Alexander Plakida, Chairman of the Board, “Global Compact National Network” Association; Rustem Ismagilov, CEO, “Ak Bars Insurance” Ltd.; Artem Tabakov, Chief Risk Manager, Thuricum Insurance Company JSC; Galina Solomonova, Committee Coordinator, AEB; and Andrey Khoroshilov, CEO and founder of the project, “Save the Forest”.
