The AEB is glad to invite you to the Open Event “Specifics of GR-communication in Belarus”.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:00 to 12:30 a.m. at AEB office (Butyrskiy Val 68/70 bld. 1).

Companies operating in the EAEU and CIS countries may communicate with government agencies based on their experience of interaction with state authorities in Russia. Membership in associations as well as a common Soviet regulatory past may indeed favour this. This may be true for Belarus, which has the closest trade, economic and political relations with Russia. However, interaction with state authorities in Belarus also has its own specifics. Experience shows that taking these specificities into account when communicating with government bodies is crucial for the sustainability of companies' business in the country. Knowledge and understanding of these peculiarities will help companies operating in the Belarusian market or planning to enter it to implement their business strategy more effectively and sustainably.

The event will focus on these features and specific examples reflecting the specifics of interaction with government agencies in Belarus as follows:

Andrei KOSKO, Senior Counsel, Kesarev, will cover specifics of GR Communication in Belarus after 2020;
Dmitry MIKLIN, Government Relations Director, HERBALIFE NUTRITION, will tell about direct selling industry – experience of establishing a specialised association in Belarus and its first steps.
Andrej RESNIKOV, GR Head on Technical Regulation and Product Labelling, ITMS (early – British American Tobacco), will brief on GR&PR campaign in Belarus re legislation for a new category of nicotine-containing products.

The event will be opened and moderated by Tadzio Schilling, AEB CEO.

The event is organized with support of Kesarev.

Working languages of the event are Russian and English. Interpretation will be provided.
