Additional COVID-19 restrictions are introduced in Saint Petersburg starting June 20, 2021

New restrictions have been introduced in Saint Petersburg due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases. The corresponding decree was signed by the Governor Alexander Beglov, based on the prescription of the Chief State Sanitary Inspector for St. Petersburg.

Starting June 20, safety precautions will be introduced for the  visitors of the fan zones of the European Football Championship UEFA 2020. The fan zone on Konyushennaya Square will allow up to 3000 people, the theme park in "Yubileynyi" - up to 1000 people.

 

Starting June 22, passenger water transportation will be allowed under the condition of updating safe operation standards by the carriers. 

 

By August 15, 65% of employees of the state institutions of St. Petersburg must be vaccinated or have antibodies.

 

Institutions of higher education are recommended to take measures to promote vaccination among students (cadets).

 

Moreover, in order to ensure sanitary and epidemiological well-being during the festive event "Scarlet Sails" ("Алые паруса") additional restictions will be introduced for the period June 25-26, 2021.
