EISR experts studied the global practice of lifting anti COVID-19 restrictions

20.05.2020

The Expert Institute for Social Research (EISR) analyzed the plans and road maps of the European Union and a number of countries for the removal of epidemiological restrictions and came to the conclusion that the Russian approach to the phased removal of restrictions and the set of measures and indicators approved on May 8 for the phased removal of restrictive measures in the COVID-19 epidemic are in line with international best practices.

Countries generally begin to introduce separate relaxations on the 55-60 days after quarantine. Russia has introduced restrictive measures, significantly pre-empting the epidemic, unlike many other countries. This allowed for a significant reduction in mortality, smoothing the morbidity curve, but at the same time somewhat slowing down the epidemic.
