Finland will expand acceptance of visa applications from Russia

14.09.2021

Finland will start accepting more Russian visa applications starting from October 1, 2021.

Since that day Finland visa centers in Russia would accept visa applications from those who have the purpose of travel - business, as well as from all applicants who have multiple Schengen visas with expired validity issued by Finland for a period of at least two years.

The extension of the acceptance of visa applications does eliminate the restrictions on entry imposed by Finland. No decision has yet been taken to change the restrictions on entry. Each applicant must sign a document according to which he or she undertakes to check independently that the conditions of entry are met and he/she understands that the visa issued does not guarantee the entry into Finland.
