Russia extends suspension of flights to the UK until summer

Russia has extended the suspension of air traffic with Great Britain until June 1 this year inclusive, TASS reports referring to the telegram of Rosaviatsiya sent to airlines.

"In accordance with the decision of the operational headquarters to prevent the introduction and spread of a new coronavirus infection in Russia, regular and irregular passenger air travel between Russia and Great Britain is temporarily suspended from 00:00 Moscow time on 15 April 2021 until 23:59 Moscow time on 1 June 2021," the document says.

Russia suspended air traffic with Britain at the end of last year after the discovery of a new strain of coronavirus there, which was subsequently identified in more than 100 countries worldwide. Subsequently, the measure has been repeatedly extended and, according to the latest decision, was to cease to operate on April 16.
