Russia lifts border crossing and epidemiological restrictions imposed earlier due to COVID-19 pandemic

04.07.2022

On July 4, 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova held a regular meeting of COVID-19 Operational Staff.

It was decided to cancel, starting July 15, 2022, all temporary restrictions on crossing Russian state border set by the Governmental Orders №635-r and №763-r.

Earlier, due to improvement of epidemiological situation, the operational staff had already decided to cancel restrictions on entry of foreign citizens to Russia through air and sea checkpoints since June 14, but a number of restrictions on entry by land means of transport were still in force.

In addition, the operational headquarters decided to cancel the requirement to provide the results of PCR-testing for COVID-19 for citizens of the Republic of Belarus upon arrival by air transport to Russia.

Please kindly note that for the citizens of other countries, the requirement to provide the results of PCR-testing remains in place.
