Russia's first region declared a lockdown due to COVID-19

Authorities in Buryatia have imposed a no-work-day regime from June 27 to July 11, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the operational headquarters.

For two weeks all the enterprises except the essential ones as well as food stores, drug stores, transport and mass media, were temporarily suspended.

Local authorities will also limit access to places of mass recreation, including in the direction of Lake Baikal.
